The Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation, funded both by government and the private sector. They are one of the UK's leading organisations set up to address the damaging effects of climate change with offices in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Their aim is to cut emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) by promoting the sustainable and efficient use of energy.
Their site contains detailed information about the problem, how much is being wasted and what you can do about it. Great advice, product recommendations, regular in-depth reports and a free telephone helpline are available.
The EU Stand-by Initiative page sets out the European Commission's position and has links to various policy papers and Codes of Conduct.
Energyfuture is managed by Energywatch. The site aims to get people involved in the energy debate, sharing opinions, reading about policy and giving them the opportunity to have their say.
