If the Enviroplug switches off power, won’t that damage the equipment plugged into it?
No, modern appliances are built to cope with power outages. Anyway, Enviroplugs just emulate what happens when you unplug a connected device.
How is using an Enviroplug better than just unplugging the device or appliance?
It isn’t, it’s just more practical and convenient.
How much electricity does an Enviroplug use?
Less than 1 watt when it is delivering power and less than 0.1 watt after it has cut electricity (ie. much less than a device left on standby).
What is the environmental impact of Enviroplug’s manufacturing process and packaging?
I have systems that I want to keep on all the time – recorders for instance. How can I stop the Enviroplug Standby from turning them off?
Just plug them into the “constant on” sockets in the Enviroplug power strip.
My Enviroplug Charger seems to keep supplying electricity to my charger even after the battery is full. What’s going wrong?
Some chargers are particularly badly behaved, constantly using the same energy whether the battery is charging or full. In this instance, the Enviroplug can’t detect a full battery, but after 2 hours, it cuts power anyway.
Can I plug more than one device into an Enviroplug?
You can, but only up to the maximum rating of the device – 1A for Enviroplug Charger, 13A for other Enviroplugs.
My Enviroplug seems to have stopped working.
