Enviroplug® Audio Shield is used with sound systems. It has a small microphone which listens for a 10 minute period of silence, after which it disconnects power. A short range passive infra-red detector senses movement near the hi-fi system and reconnects power when needed. An adaptor is supplied for use with headphones.To install, simply turn your stereo system off and unplug from the mains. Plug the Audio Shield adapter into the mains socket and place the infra-red detector near the front or side of the audio system. Plug the stereo into the adapter and turn on mains power and any "on" switch on the stereo unit. The system will operate as normal until a 10 period of silence is heard when power is disconnected. To reconnect, simply approach the sound system and it is instantly re-activated.
